Sean Kanan

You will currently find Sean Kanan on the popular series "The Bold and the Beautiful". Born in Cleveland and raised in New Castle, Pennsylvania, Sean Kanan's thespian career began when he was in college at Boston University. Sean made his feature film debut in "Karate Kid III" after being hand picked by director John Avildsen ("Rocky") during an open call for over 2000 actors. Fortunately, the young actor had studied karate growing up and was able to perform his own stunts. He portrayed the memorable role of Ralph Macchio's nemesis.

Upon production's end he was in the Francis Ford Coppola produced television series "The Outsiders." Shortly thereafter, Sean appeared in his first independent feature, "Rich Girl," a modern Romeo and Juliet. He added other indie films to his roster including "The Chaos Factor" opposite Fred Ward and Antonio Sabato, Jr. where he portrayed a CIA agent gone bad, and "Chump Change," a romantic comedy.

Sean has displayed his versatility on daytime television as well. He earned kudos for his role as trouble ridden "A.J. Quartermaine" on "General Hospital with nomination as Best Newcomer by the annual Soap Opera Digest Awards. He segued to Aaron Spelling's "Sunset Beach" where he portrayed "Jude Cavanaugh," an enigmatic business man. Recently, Kanan joined the cast of "The Bold and the Beautiful" in the role of Deacon Sharp.

When not working, Sean enjoys practicing martial arts and writing poetry, plays, and screenplays. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
